Celebrating 30 years of JCT600 VLS

JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions (VLS) is proud to be celebrating 30 years in the UK fleet industry.

VLS – which is part of JCT600, one of the largest motor groups in the UK – was first established under the name JCT600 Contracts and took their first order in 1989. They were based at JCT600’s then head office on Sticker Lane, Bradford, with a team of just five people.

Long regarded as a company that offers excellent customer care across a wide range of vehicle leasing and management services; the company now operates a fleet of 6,500 vehicles supplying all brands of cars and vans throughout the UK from their head office – Tordoff House, Apperley Bridge.

Looking forward, the company is preparing for further growth under the leadership of the newly appointed Managing Director, Ben Creswick. Since joining the company just over 12 months ago, Ben has ensured the business is fit for the future; he and the VLS team are currently working on several new technological developments whilst remaining focused on delivering the highest quality customer service.

Ben said: “It is our people who have ensured this business is still successful 30 years on and it is those great people who will continue to ensure we are successful in the future. You cannot train people to work in the way our team does, you either have it or you don’t. That is why we have and will continue to invest in them – if we look after our great people, they will look after our customers. This company was built on strong values which I believe are unique to VLS – that is the difference that makes all the difference to our customers.”

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations colleagues were treated to a black tie dinner at The Grand hotel in York. VLS’ customers have also received a handwritten, personalised thank you letter from their Account Management team; a clear example of the ‘extra mile’ which Creswick says makes ‘all the difference’. The letters accompanied a special one-off 30th Anniversary magazine that covers many of the fleet industry’s major talking points, a copy of which can be requested through the VLS website.

Ben added: “We will continue to drive the business forward over the next 12 months, focusing, as always, on delivering the very best service and products that meet the needs of our customers whilst also exploring innovative opportunities to enhance our offering.

“We recognise that the industry is changing and we are committed to remaining at the forefront of these developments. However we also want to concentrate on the immediate future with a particular focus on providing market leading vehicle solutions which add value to our customers, here and now, whilst also helping future proof their fleets.”
