déjà vu
(/ˌdeɪʒɑː ˈvuː, – ˈvjuː/ noun
a feeling of having already experienced the present situation – “a feeling of déjà vu “
“These are today’s headlines, surely?”
Actually, they were taken from Fleet News 1988; LA Times 1996; Fleet News 1998; The Telegraph 2001; The Guardian 2003; and Fleet News 2004 respectively. The current market conditions do not necessarily reflect the market then, but the core themes have remained the same for over 30 years.
Thus bringing us to the essential basis our 30th anniversary magazine
– available here – and its content are designed to address. To acknowledge and inform our readers of the current landscape, whilst also providing useful insights and recommendations as to how we can all successfully navigate and overcome the challenges we are facing, both now and in the future.
We recognise and support the energetic and optimistic possibilities of future mobility, in whatever guise that may well take; electrification, automation or connectivity and we will continue to stay at the forefront of these developments, which will no doubt influence the long term future.
However, we want to concentrate on the more immediate future with a particular focus on analysing, identifying and facilitating the design and implementation of market leading vehicles solutions which add value to customers, here and now whilst helping to plan for the future.
Without doubt there has been substantial change over the last 30 years and we are certainly in a very different technological, geopolitical, environmental and regulatory world. But JCT600 VLS is here for our customers today, as we have been over the last 30 years and will be for the next 30.
