JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions (VLS) has partnered with GoFibre, a fast-growing independent broadband provider covering homes and businesses in Scotland and the north of England, to deliver a comprehensive 140-vehicle fleet solution that supports the company’s rapid growth and major government contract wins. The bespoke fleet programme combines strategic consultancy with premium vehicle specifications to attract top engineering talent whilst delivering first-class broadband solutions to rural communities.

GoFibre’s fleet enhancement comes at a pivotal time, with the company recently announced as the chosen supplier for two significant Project Gigabit contracts. The first will deliver full fibre broadband to around 13,000 premises across the Scottish Borders and East Lothian and the second contract encompasses approximately 63,000 premises across the north east of Scotland.

GoFibre required a fleet solution that would attract engineering talent while maintaining operational efficiency across challenging rural terrain. The company needed a trusted partner to advise, support and deliver a completely new scheme from the ground up. The JCT600 VLS team were selected as the partner of choice due to the leasing provider’s experience, values and approach to what GoFibre needed.

Rather than accepting GoFibre’s initial specification, JCT600 VLS consulted multiple GoFibre and external stakeholders to understand actual usage patterns and operational requirements. This collaborative approach revealed the need for enhanced safety features, bespoke racking systems, required electrical equipment, and a unified solution for vehicle tracking and dashboard cameras.

Taking a supplier-agnostic approach, JCT600 VLS presented both value and premium options, enabling GoFibre to select essential features within budget while incorporating aspirational elements that reflect brand standards. The team took on the full consultancy role for vehicle design, sourcing and implementation, managing all third-party liaison for vehicle conversions and obtaining detailed quotes from five racking and fitment providers.

For specialist vehicle requirements, JCT600 VLS provided expert guidance on compliance for pickup and 4×4 job-need vehicles, identified supply constraints for single-cab pickups, and proposed a tailored JLR commercial vehicle solution with bespoke fitment planning. A flexible approach was developed for sales team vehicles, addressing seasonal demand and high turnover through a combination of Business Contract Hire pool cars and long-term rental options rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.

The partnership includes dedicated account management and direct access to JCT600 VLS’ senior leadership team, in-person multi-stakeholder implementation, and strategic guidance on fleet management provisions and owned vehicle disposal processes.

John Fraser, Fleet Manager at GoFibre, said: “The new vehicles are a tremendous addition to GoFibre’s fleet, utilising the strength and salience of our brand, while providing the flexible transport solution that our teams need. This new attractive, multi-purpose suite of vehicles will support GoFibre’s strong growth trajectory, and we are proud to see the new vehicles out and about all over our build areas in Scotland and the north of England. JCT600 VLS’ team took time to understand our operational requirements in detail, challenged our initial specifications, and helped design a vehicle solution that met both functional and commercial objectives. Their supplier-agnostic approach, combined with a clear focus on quality and value, ensured we delivered a fleet that supports recruitment, operational efficiency, and long-term business goals.”

The comprehensive fleet solution supports GoFibre’s mission to deliver world-class broadband infrastructure to some of Scotland’s most challenging rural locations, whilst providing the company with vehicles that attract skilled engineers and reflect their commitment to quality service delivery.

Ben Creswick, Managing Director at JCT600 VLS, said: “GoFibre’s story exemplifies what we do best – taking a blank canvas and creating a fleet solution that doesn’t just meet operational needs, but actively supports business growth and fleet goals. This wasn’t about replacing a fleet; it was about enhancing every part of an existing operation through proper collaboration. It reflects exactly how we believe fleet partnerships should work.”
