JCT600 VLS Helps GoFibre Go Further

About GoFibre

GoFibre is Scotland’s fastest growing broadband provider, bringing lightning-fast full fibre connectivity to remote and rural communities across north and east Scotland as well as the north east of England.

What GoFibre needed

In September 2025, following a competitive tendering process, JCT600 VLS was chosen to deliver a comprehensive 80-vehicle fleet solution for GoFibre. The fleet enhancement came at a pivotal time for the business following rapid growth, including winning two major government contracts.

As Scotland’s fastest growing broadband provider, GoFibre required vehicles that would help attract and retain skilled engineers, showcase its services to local communities through eye-catching livery, and maintain operational efficiency across demanding rural terrain. GoFibre required a trusted partner to advise, support and deliver a new scheme from the ground up.

Our approach

Rather than simply accepting GoFibre’s initial specification, JCT600 VLS consulted staff and other stakeholders to understand real-world usage patterns and operational requirements. This collaborative approach identified the need for enhanced safety features, bespoke racking systems, essential electrical equipment, and a single unified solution for vehicle tracking and dashboard cameras.

Taking a supplier-agnostic approach, JCT600 VLS presented GoFibre with both value and premium options at every stage, from racking to safety equipment, enabling the business to prioritise essential features within budget while investing in the aspirational elements that reflect its brand standards. The team took on the full consultancy role for vehicle design, sourcing and implementation, managing all third-party liaison for vehicle conversions and obtaining detailed quotes from five racking and fitment providers.

“Delivery of the vehicles was seamless. The vans GoFibre has received from JCT600 VLS were kitted out exactly to our required specifications, and the fleet came with a good maintenance package.”

Paul Gilhooley, Senior Commercial Supply and Partnering Manager, GoFibre

In addition to the core fleet, GoFibre required some specialist vehicles to support the servicing of remote wireless sites in demanding terrain, for which JCT600 VLS supplied several Land Rovers finished in eye-catching new livery. This same approach was applied to vehicles for the sales team, which needed to meet a commercial vehicle classification, while retaining the external appearance of a standard family estate car.

The investment in the fleet, together with the dashcam technology and bespoke livery, has resulted in a stronger safety culture and awareness among drivers.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, the partnership includes dedicated account management with direct access to JCT600 VLS’ senior leadership team, in-person multi-stakeholder implementation, and strategic guidance on fleet management provisions and owned vehicle disposal processes.

“This wasn’t about replacing a fleet, it was about enhancing every part of an existing operation through proper collaboration. It reflects exactly how we believe fleet partnerships should work.”

Ben Creswick, Managing Director, JCT600 VLS

How it’s going now?

GoFibre has since purchased eight more vehicles from JCT600 VLS, and the two companies are now working together to explore an electric fleet trial ahead of a potential move to electric vans in the coming years. JCT600 VLS is also addressing seasonal demand through a combination of Business Contract Hire pool cars and long-term rental. In addition, the VLS team recently supported GoFibre in launching a car salary sacrifice scheme trial for a select number of employees, which will be explored further.

Paul Gilhooley, Senior Commercial Supply and Partnering Manager at GoFibre, said: “We’re delighted with the support we get from our account management team. I’ve found them to be very helpful with any queries or issues we have had, and they are very quick to respond – whether it’s providing roof racks or exploring new vehicle options for us.  We are really pleased with the partnership. We look forward to working closely with them to hone our fleet and would have no hesitation in recommending JCT600 VLS to other organisations.”
